Do you only see children, teenagers, and young adults with chronic medical conditions?

• No, it is not a requirement for a patient to have a chronic medical condition to receive services.

Do you take insurance?

• Scottsdale Pediatric Health Psychology is a fee-for-service provider, so payment is due at the time of service. The initial evaluation is $250 and follow up appointments are $200. A billing invoice will be provided upon request.

How frequently do you see a patient?

• This depends on the severity of a patient’s difficulties, if there are safety concerns, and what is feasible for families.

What if my child is having a crisis before our evaluation, after hours, or on the weekend?

• The 24-hour crisis line for Maricopa County is 1-800-631-1314.

• If you can safely transport your child, go to the nearest emergency room at a medical hospital and ask to be evaluated by the mental health provider on call.

• Mind 24-7 is a 24 hour mental health urgent care with locations in North Phoenix and Mesa. The number is 1-844-646-3247.
